This is a tribute page to Charles Johnson who died peacefully but unexpectedly at home in Oxfordshire on 27th June 2020 aged 58. Husband of Vanessa and father of Milly and Henry. Much loved son, husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, teacher and friend. He will be greatly missed by so many. As someone who dedicated his life to education, we have chosen The Children's Society as our charity in remembrance of him. It was Charles' favourite charity and he was a regular donator. The charity aims to help the most vulnerable children in the United Kingdom.

Charles was my housemaster at Stowe until 1994, my swimming coach, a mentor and tutor. I always wanted to get back in touch as I felt he was a pivotal figure in my early years, I respected him greatly. Its so sad to hear he has gone and my thoughts are with his family. He was a splendid person.
